How did i do with my blogging 2017 goals and goals for the year ahead

When I look back on my goals for 2017 I think I was being a little optimistic , I don’t think I took into account that I was returning to work. which meant I would have less time to post to my blog and social media channels. I definitely didn’t expect to be pregnant again and I had times in my pregnancy. Especially the early days where the thought of getting on the laptop and writing a blog post was just too much to contend with. Although I didn’t reach a lot of my goals I am happy with where my blog is at. Yes it may not be the…

Knuma Huddle making those early baby days easier

You may have seen a few months ago we did a first impressions post for the Knuma Huddle. We have now been using our Huddle for nearly a month and I’m so in love with it. You may have seen that I had to have an emergency section again . So moving around was pretty painful in the early days. This meant bending over was pretty painful so thank god I didn’t have a Moses basket. The Huddle made those night feeds so much easier. I could simply unzip the side and Alby was within reach . No bending involved. We have also found unlike Ava , Alby likes to…

Now that I’m no longer pregnant bath time has come back and Ava is loving having a bath with Alby.   Recently we have been sent some Good Bubble products to try . I have brought many a bath products in the past based on how nice they smell. Only to get them home and use them and to be disappointed with how well the…

    My blogging journey through 2017

This is the first full year that I have been blogging and boy it’s been an interesting one. I have learnt so much more and worked with some amazing brands. I think one of the biggest things I have learnt is not to compare yourself to anyone else. Being apart of blogging Facebook groups has both its benefits and its draw backs. I am apart of one specific group who I can go to for support with anything blogging related or even just to have a moan about things that are going on . This is the group I love and can be me in. But then there are groups…

You may have seen not so long ago I had an emergency caesarean. Along with this I also had a very painful abscess lanced so I am currently over coming two different operations. First of all lets talk about my caesarean recovery .As that’s probably the nicer one of the two to talk about. People will tell you all sorts of horror stories about caesarean that you are in so much pain afterwards and that…

second child syndrome- is it real?!

Hello I’m Faye from Glossytots and I am here writing for the lovely Jess. Today I will be talking about my new found worry in life. Is a second child supposed to put the fear factor into your life? Erin is now 5. She is desperate for a brother and a sister (I don’t think I can go that far- especially as I have to have IVF). Matt and I would like to add to our little family, but this does bring elements of “fear of change” for me. Currently Erin resides with her Dad 6 nights over a 2 week period- every other weekend and 3 nights 5.30pm-8am. That…

Eating out on Christmas day , why we do it

When you think of having Christmas dinner . Do you think about someone stressing in the kitchen because the potatoes wont go right. Or the turkey wont fit in the oven because yet again dad ordered one too big for the oven. Well not me when I think of Christmas dinner. I think about going out to a nice restaurant and having it all done for me. I’m not the worlds best cook if I’m honest.I couldn’t think of anything worse than spending half the morning in the kitchen cooking. I want to be there to witness Ava open all her presents. I don’t want to be told that she…

Today is the day we finally get some answers: Ava’s feet

Today is the day when we finally get some answers. Since Ava started walking I noticed that her feet turn in a little. To start with I wasn’t too concerned as she was little and I just thought it would be something she would grow out of. As she got older more people started to comment about it and this is when I started to get a little more concerned. As a child my feet turned slightly in also and my mom had to seek medical advice to help me . So I suppose it was bound to be passed on to at least one of my children. At first…
