Having a baby , what do I actually need to buy ?

When I found out I was having a baby i was so excited and couldn’t wait to start buying everything . When looking through articles it seemed that you needed so much and I guess you do but remember most of these things are written by big companies that sell baby products . It can be an expensive time but like most moms will tell you , most of things you buy or are told to buy you will hardly ever use .

I like to think of myself as being pretty organised so once we had our 20 week scan I started to research into what we needed and where was the cheapest place to buy it from . Doing this research did save us some money so a deffinatly worth it .It also made a great list for when people asked us what we wanted . In my little note book I had all the information they needed to buy it , saving them both time and money .

Looking back we really didn’t go over board everything we brought we have used and more than once and all well worth their money .So to help new parents out there to keep the spending down I thought I would list what we brought or very kindly had brought for us.

  • Nursery furniture (cot, mattress ,changing unit, wardrobe),
  • Angelcare bath support,
  • Angelcare monitor with sensor pad,
  • Sivercross travel system,
  • Play Matt,
  • Steriliser and bottles,
  • Moses basket ( with fitted sheets),
  • Changing bag,
  • Blankets,
  • Isofix base ( this is such a handy thing if you can afford it defiantly purchase it makes getting in and out the car quick and simple),
  • Thermometer.
  • Night lights

I haven’t added things like clothes and baby bottles as I’m sure I don’t need to tell you that 😊.

I know it may be exciting to go and buy but make sure to shop around as every penny really does help . Them extra pennies will soon be needed for nappies , wipes and milk .

Having a baby there is a lot to buy but what do you actually need . #baby #parenting #pregnancy #products

I had a million lists! What to buy, what to pack for the hospital, what I needed to do before the baby arrived…. And then the baby comes and you don’t need half of it!
