When Ava was very little we started to notice she had a blue ring around her mouth, I started to worry I mean why is my baby blue around the mouth surely it’s not normal . Maybe she was cold ? After speaking to my health visitor she assured me it was nothing to worry about . That in fact the blue ring around her mouth was due to her having wind . How right she was . We found that if we got her to bring her wind up then the blue ring would go . Don’t get me wrong we did wind her during feeds but she must…

What Daisy did creating both jobs and beautiful bags

I have recently been introduced to the brand what Daisy did .Straight away I loved the ethos of their business. They take ex military of defence materials and create amazing bags that will be appealing to many people. They are not like every other company making bags. As they are employing homeless people to help them on their venture. What daisy did have teamed up with the Hope Centre ‘ to give something back’ . With a percentage of money from their new range the wayfarer going back to the charity. With 90% of the materials used in this bag being recycled from ex military of defence materials they are really making sure…

If your anything like me I find it really hard to find inner ear head phones that actually stay in my ear. Especially on the rare occasion I do some exercise !. So when I was recently approached to see if I would like to review the Magneto Bluetooth headset. I was intrigued to see what they would offer that others didn’t and if they actually stayed in my ear.   When I first looked at the headset I was impressed with the design of them. It did at first seem a little odd that it didn’t have a cable attaching it to my device . After using them I…

We were originally looking at Chester zoo then an advert for Twycross zoo came on the telly . For some reason I thought it was in London ( so did a few other people I know ). After looking on the internet I found out it wasn’t at all and was only 50 minutes away from us . We booked our tickets online as you get them at a discounted price . Personally I thought the tickets were a really good price at only £16.37 for an adult. As…

When I was first approached by the people over at Kidloland I wasn’t sure it would be of any use to us . I have an iPhone and Apple TV I found it great to play it via my tv. Ava is only 8 months old she finds my phone great to chew on . As soon as I put it on the telly she concentrated and enjoyed the music and animation. Once…

    She’s on the move !!

This is a collaborative post with simply plastics.  I have been longing for the moment for Ava to be able to roll and move around a bit more by herself. Now that moment has come all I find myself thinking is I wish she would stay still for a moment. You start to look around at your house and see all the potential dangers. The biggest thing we have come across is Ava trying to get the dog toys. This is a really difficult one as we don’t want to stop the dog having her toys out. Ava isn’t old enough to understand that they are not her toys to play…

    Tommee Tippee mealtime accessories :review

When we were buying bottles for Ava the first brand I looked at was Tommee Tippee. This brand is trusted amongst many parents I know . The products are always of high quality , so when the guys over at Tommee Tippee asked if I would like to review some of their other products . I straight away said yes . As were weaning Ava these products were put to the test straight away. The first thing we used was the dribble catching weaning bib. Unlike most weaning bibs it comes up really high under the chin meaning her clothes underneath stay nice and clean. Also as it is material…

When I started to wean Ava the first brand I looked to was Ella’s kitchen as I had heard so many good things about their products . I wasn’t disappointed at all and we are still enjoying trying their products as Ava grows up . Recently we tried some of their 6 months range pouches. So I’m glad that Ella’s kitchen do a wide range for Ava to try. We then tried some of their…

school holidays mean nothing to me !

Working in a nursery now for many years, I worked towards each half term counting down the days till I could have a few days off, or work at the holiday club that the nursery ran. Many parents had said to me that school holidays can be such hard work as everywhere is manic. I have known parents go to a soft play areas with their child and be turned away as it was too busy. My maternity leave started and I didn’t think about how many days till the next school holiday. If I’m honest most days I wouldn’t have even been able to tell you what day it was as…

    Eating out highchair hell

Going out for a meal can be a nightmare, you have to make sure you pack enough things to keep your little one entertained. If they don’t eat off the main menu then you have to pack a lunchbox full of appealing things for them to eat. Then there is the great discussion of where shall we eat where will be good to take children. Will there be enough space to take the pushchair in if she needs asleep. This is all before the drama of a highchair starts.  I have recently been in talks with Totseat who have done a survey of 109 restaurants that are deemed to be family…

This is a collaborative post with Eden’s Semilla. I am what I like to call a serial skin care buyer; I will try almost anything to give me youthful clear skin. Most of the time I am really disappointed with the results and annoyed that I have spent so much on a product. So when I was asked recently by Eden’s Semilla if I would like to try their Jojoba oil I was intrigued to see if this would be the product that actually worked and gave me the results I longed for. I had never heard of Jojoba oil so before I put any of it on my skin…
