My experience of having Covid-19 and not displaying any of the three main symptoms

I have spoken to so many people who have had COVID-19. Each person has experienced different symptoms has recovered differently. For some there are more long term effects. These people range from early 20’s to 60 plus. It’s affecting a lot of people and each person has their own story. So I thought I would share mine . As maybe someone is feeling the same but because they don’t have the three main symptoms they think they are fine. Just going about their daily life. Isolation period started My isolation period started because I had been in contact with someone who had tested positive for COVID-19 . This in itself…

Valentine’s gift ideas for him and her that can be brought online

This year we know for certain their won’t be any fancy meals out for Valentine’s Day . Instead it will be spent at home, which lets be honest is how we’ve spent most of the last 12 months. Even more so this year it’s nice to have something to look forward to . Valentine’s Day may not be something you normally celebrate, but with not a lot else in the diary. This year may be the year to celebrate this day with your partner. Or even just with the kids, thinking about all that’s happened over the last 12 months and to celebrate making it through. Here are a selection…

Femme Luxe high wasted joggers- AD

I was sent the products shown below from Femme Luxe finery for free in return for an honest review. All opinions are my own. When it came to clothes in 2020 comfort was key . Spending a lot of time at home or exploring the local woods I needed something that was comfortable. 2021 has started with me wanting the same comfort from my clothes. I don’t even know the next time I will be popping on a dress to have a night out. So I’m all about the comfy trousers. If you had asked me what my day to day style was I would have said typical mom style.…

AD: Giving your puppy the best start with natural healthy dog food

AD This post is in conjunction with James Wellbeloved but all thoughts are my own When you make the decision that you want to add a dog to your family, there are so many things you need to consider. Where will they sleep? How going to toilet train them? Most importantly, what are you going to feed them?  This for us was one of the main conversations we had before Luca came home. The breeder had Luca on a brand of food we had never heard of and we didn’t know what to do for the best.  After hours and hours researching and talking to our vet about it, we…

Motif photo book and Calendar: review and giveaway

I have been sent the photo book and calendar for free from Motif. In return for an honest review. All opinions are my own. Who would have thought this time last year that we would be heading into a global pandemic? Which completely changed the way we live. Not seeing family and friends for months on end and being furloughed from work. If I’m honest I didn’t even know the word furlough until around March this year. It’s easy to think about this year as the year we stayed at home and did nothing. Which isn’t actually correct.. well not for us anyway. Yes, we haven’t been on holiday or…

Pregnancy- a true account of what it is like being pregnant

Being pregnant is a hard time in any women’s life . It doesn’t matter if you have the easiest of pregnancies something will happen and you will think wow I wasn’t expecting that or this really isn’t fun. Morning sickness is vile and it’s not just in the morning it’s something that can happen all day. Or if your lucky like me can even wake you of a night. Thankfully once I hit the 20 week point my morning sickness subsided. But I’m sorry to say this isn’t the fact for everyone. As I have known women to have morning sickness right up until they give birth. Your ever-expanding waist…

EasiYo yogurt maker – Making yogurt easily at home- review

    * I was sent the EasiYo yogurt maker for free in return for an honest review. All opinions are my own* If I have learnt anything from lockdown it’s that my children eat so much. I mean they finish a meal and are already thinking about the next snack or meal. When they were at school and nursery I didn’t really realise how much they actually eat. One of the things they eat a lot of is yogurt. So when I was asked if we would like to try the EasiYo yogurt maker. I was interested to see if it would help me keep on top at least one snack…

AD Handprint Christmas cards which you can easily do at home with children

AD :To be able to put these crafts together I was sent a voucher for hobby craft to purchase some craft items. Christmas this year is going to be a weird one for many of us. It’s made me reevaluate what Christmas is all about. The thought of not seeing some of my family on Christmas Day makes me feel sad. Christmas for us is about both mine and Jordan’s family coming together. Enjoying good food and just generally having a fantastic time. The way I have shopped this year has changed a lot also. I used to love taking one day off in December and going Christmas shopping with…

    Pre-Winter Lawn Care Tips

This is a collaborative post Winter is definitely not the time you want to be spending lots of time tending to the garden. Luckily, you don’t have to. Small jobs here and there in the run-up to the coldest and frostiest time of year can go a long way to helping your lawn and garden, in general, survive the winter. Piling on a few layers and your winter coat and heading out in the garden once or twice a month can be all that’s needed to keep your grass in top condition, as spending too much time in your garden in winter can actually do more harm than good. Here…

A virtual Moonpig Christmas event: Including Flower arranging and cocktail making

Disclaimer: I was sent the items featured below from Moonpig in exchange for this post all words and images are my own. Going to a shopping centre at the moment for me isn’t my idea of fun. I went a few weeks back with Alby and honestly, I hated it. I just felt on edge all of the time. So, for now, a lot of my shopping for the festive period this year will be online. A mix of high street stores and also small independent businesses. When it comes to getting special cards even when there isn’t a global pandemic happening I always use Moonpig. So I was so…

AD| OrganiCup and Acessories: How I found them as a mom of two

*I was sent the OrganiCup and accessories for free in return for an honest review. All opinions are my own* If you have been a long time reader of my blog. You may have seen a post I wrote about my periods after having Alby. Well if you didn’t read it a short recap is basically since Alby was born my periods have never been the same. For the last 2 1/2 years, I have been having very heavy periods. That at times have stopped me doing things or going out for the fear of leaking. Many a morning I have woken up and had to get changed straight away…

AD| 5 ways to save money on your wedding

*This is a paid post Back in 2016, Jordan proposed to me in the most beautiful way ever. He got Ava a baby grow on that asked the question and it was amazing. Were now 4 years on and we’re no further on now then we were back then with actually getting married. Which I’m fine about as to me marriage isn’t the bee all and end-all. We have children together and that’s the biggest commitment ever I personally think. One of the reasons we haven’t done anything about it is because of the cost of a wedding. Over the last four years, we have had another baby and also…

AD|Overnight stay at the Three Horseshoes Country Inn via Red Letter days

Back in December I was very kindly gifted an overnight stay at The Three Horseshoes Country Inn from Red Letter Days. I Gifted this on to my brother and sister in law. As they were due their first child in January and I thought it would be nice for them to getaway. Once she was old enough and they could get back to being a couple for a night. As anyone who has had a child will know how hard it is to find time to be a couple and not Mom and Dad. 2020 has been a strange year due to COVID so their stay has been a little…

Just when I though Asthma wasn’t a problem in our house anymore – updated

Just when we thought trips to the hospital because of Asthma was a thing of the past . Last weekend I ended up in hospital not because of Ava having breathing difficulties but because Alby was. I will take you back to when it happened. As I know people have said in the past they have found it handy me describing to them what happened. The thing is with Asthma it can flare up at any time and knowing the signs that something isn’t right can really make the difference. I had been out at a physio appointment and had come back in to both children snuggled up in blankets having…

It makes for a very unsettled nights sleep with not many hours of actual sleep. Why I’m sending my daughter to school in September whilst covid is still circulating

The world at the moment is still a scary place . Even if people are acting like it isn’t . Covid is still present and is still something I worry about daily . Despite this we will be sending Ava to school in September and it’s something I have never really questioned. The last few months for Ava have been hard like it has for many children. She is a social butterfly and not being able to go to nursery and see her friends has been really hard on her. She had a lovely circle of nursery friends that she probably will never see again. As she won’t be going…

Potty training a boy isn’t actually any harder than potty training a girl

Alby is now fully potty trained . It’s been pretty plain sailing . I was actually really worried about potty training Alby as I heard so many times that boys are harder to potty train than girls . Don’t know why but so many people I know have said their boys just seemed so much more laid back and weren’t bothered by potty training. Our potty training journey with Ava was so easy like too easy . I think she only had maybe 2 accidents. Non of which were poo accidents so that was amazing . If I’m being honest she has more of an issue with toileting now at 4 then…
