BabyBjörn baby carrier one review

When I was pregnant with my second I didn’t really think about the practicalities of going places with two children. Ava is only just two so she does like to walk places but gets tired very quickly. It wasn’t until Alby was here and I thought about taking the two of them out that I thought how the hell am I going to do this. ? Thankfully I have recently been sent the BabyBjörn baby carrier one to review.

I think one of the most important things with a carrier is how comfy is it.  I have had many different carriers with Ava and to be honest I found none of them super comfy. The BabyBjörn baby carrier one is really comfy, nothing cuts in and all the shoulder pads and section for the baby/ toddler are cushioned fantastically. I also felt that Alby was more secure in the carrier and I didn’t feel like he was going to fall out. He must be comfy in it as every time we have used it he has fallen asleep.

There are two different high sections to the BabyBjörn baby carrier one. It really simple to adjust the settings. As all you need to do is zip away a section from the inside to convert it to the toddler setting. No more complicated baby inserts to remove and lets face it if you’re using it for a baby and a toddler. You don’t need something else you have to remember to carry around with you.

I have always been a little worried when using carriers in the past as I was unsure that I had their hips in the right position. Well the BabyBjörn baby carrier one has an ergonomic leg position. Meaning that your baby is in the correct position for their hips what ever position they are sitting in. In fact the international Hip Dysplasia institute has tested the carrier one and acknowledges it to be “hip-healthy”

A big plus for me was how easy it was to get both Ava and Alby into the carrier. With carriers I have used before they use a clip system which can be really fiddly. But with the BabyBjörn baby carrier one they use a buckle system. It so quick and easy to attach the safety buckles and when it’s in correctly you hear it click into place.

The waist buckle again is really easy to join together. No more getting yourself into funny positions to try to see what you’re doing. You can feel with ease what you need to clip together.

Not only does baby feel super supported and safe I did too. The back support was really comfy and even after wearing it for a while. I couldn’t feel any strain on my back.

Everything on the carrier adjusts with ease so if your changing what child you put in it. Or you and your partner swap then its no stress to alter it so it fits the other person.

Along with the carrier there is a detailed owners manual. Which gives you step by step instructions on how to use the carrier. But don’t worry you don’t have to carry the book with you everywhere. As in the carrier it self on a tab inside has pictures for how to use the carrier in different positions. This I think is great as when I have been out and put the carrier on I wanted to double-check that I had done it all correctly.

The BabyBjörn baby carrier one has defiantly made thing easier for us . Plus it’s a fraction of the price of a double pushchair. The most important thing is that Alby and Ava like it and they do. So happy children means a happy mommy. Ava has been in it once or twice but hasn’t wanted to pose for a photo. If she does I will update this so you can see. The carrier in fact can be used with children up to the ages of 3 or 15KG. You can also use the carrier in 4 different positions.

Did you know that all BabyBjörn baby carriers are free from harmful substances .Also approved in accordance with Oeko-Tex standard 100, class 1 for baby products.
