Why I’m sending my daughter to school in September whilst covid is still circulating
The world at the moment is still a scary place . Even if people are acting like it isn’t . Covid is still present and is still something I worry about daily . Despite this we will be sending Ava to school in September and it’s something I have never really questioned. The last few months for Ava have been hard like it has for many children. school holidays mean nothing to me !
Working in a nursery now for many years, I worked towards each half term counting down the days till I could have a few days off, or work at the holiday club that the nursery ran. Many parents had said to me that school holidays can be such hard work as everywhere is manic. I have known parents go to a soft play areas with their child and be turned away as it was too busy. School Places !
Now I know Ava is only 4 months old and going to school is a long way off but watching friends around me nervously waiting for their acceptance letters for school places has got me thinking. Were we live now is nice but I don’t want Ava to attend any of the schools in the area. So the thought of moving house has now entered my head.
