In today’s day and age, we are seeing all kinds of unique, interesting and memorable proposal trends currently taking place. The more traditional method of getting down on one knee in a special place is still a popular choice.There are also many other interesting ways to propose!

Engagement Day

One interesting trend is being called Engagement Day and certainly is a special way of proposing. Instead of surprising their partner by getting down on one knee.Engagement Day involves the couple agreeing on a day in the near future when the proposal will take place. They will then both plan the day together to make it as special and memorable as possible – this could involve visiting a jeweller like F. Hinds to pick out engagement rings together, a romantic meal or a visit to where you first met.

Hidden Photography

People are obsessed with catching every moment of their life on camera to upload to social media, so why shouldn’t this be true for the happiest moment of your life? Many people are now hiring a photographer or having a friend photograph or film the proposal so that moment of joy is captured forever and can be shared with friends and family.

Creative Proposals

One lovely trend is for the person proposing to make a unique experience such as a scavenger hunt that will take them to important places that they have been together before proposing at the end. This is highly creative, good fun and a chance to make it a tailored and very personal proposal.

Including Family and Friends

Asking for parents permission is still common practice, but one modern trend is taking this to the next level by involving the family and friends in the proposal. It usually takes the form of a surprise party where they get down on one knee. The family and friends then jump out once they have agreed to marry.

These are the main modern proposal trends that are seen today. There is still a lot to be said for the more traditional method.These can be equally unique, special and memorable ways of asking your beloved to marry you and can be good fun too.
