    So slime DIY case :review

Slime seems to be the latest things kids are going crazy over. I have looked myself on Pinterest on how I can make some at home as I thought it would make a good sensory activity for Ava. A majority of the ingredients you could only buy in America and being in the Uk it made it very hard. Also when I did find a how to make slime post it included some bizarre components and not ones I would really want Ava to play with. So when I was approached to see if we would like to review the So slime DIY case. I was intrigued to see if…

Why we made the difficult decission to rehome our family dog

It is with the saddest of hearts that I’m writing this post. We have made the decision to rehome our dog Kya. Not because she has done anything wrong but because we cannot give her all that she needs. Now it may look like we have given up and taken the easy route out but I can assure you we haven’t. We got Kya when she was a tiny little pup shortly after we lost our first dog Milo. She instantly filled our life with joy she is such a bouncy happy dog. Then we found out we were pregnant with Ava we knew that Kya wasn’t going anywhere. Many…

Mocc Ons comfy little slipper socks that keep little toes warm : review

You may have seen recently we reviewed some Twiddle Ons which Alby loves. Well now we have been very lucky and been sent another product from the Ons family. We have been sent the Mocc Ons which are cute slipper socks that keep toes nice and warm. I was asked to go and pick what design Mocc Ons we would like to have. There are so many different designs it really did take me a long time to pick which ones I wanted. In the end I went with a design I thought would go with most of Alby’s clothes. So he can wear them everyday to keep his littles…

Could Sharing a Garden Work for You

*This is a collaborative post* Not every property is gifted a patch of land. Thus learning to share a garden is something many more of us are learning to do. But at one time, the communal garden was untouched and rarely used. There is now a movement to make more of these green, open spaces but is harmonious sharing of a garden really possible?   Sharing, the art and skill of not being super possessive over something, is something we are taught, as children, that is important. From sharing the glitter and colouring pens and primary school to rubbing along nicely in communal areas. We are also taught that there…

Marigold try me free campaign including a speed cleaning video

*This is a collaborative post* When I think of the brand Marigold. I think of yellow rubber gloves like the ones that Kim and Aggie used to wear on telly. Well theirs weren’t just yellow ones were they. They had all decorative things attached to them .Sorry I digress there I am talking about telly programs again ! I do really need to get out more. So yes what I was going to say is that I was so surprised to learn that they did so much more than just rubber gloves. As a person who actually quite likes cleaning once I get into it. It was an exciting thing…

Moving day the things I will need to consider

Our house is on the market and I’m hoping one day soon it will sell and we can get a new house. I’m not longing for a new house where I can do things to it. I am so bored with our house now that I’m starting to fall out of love with it a little bit. I’m stuck in that place where there is no point doing anything major to it as hopefully we wont benefit from it. I’m so bored with what we have I need a change a fresh lick of paint. So instead of dwelling on how much I want a new house I thought it…

Why we decided to wean before 6 months

At the moment the NHS advise that you wean babies from 6 months. Which is fine for those babies that are just not interested in food. Alby isn’t one of those babies. From around 4 months I started to notice that he was getting really fussy in the mornings and on a night-time. I would try to give him a bottle and he would have non of it. I started to wonder if he was having a bit of colic or something. Then one night at tea time he was beside himself. I couldn’t help but think should I wean before 6 months? He sits in the high chair whilst…

Having lots of scooting fun with the Xootz LED tri scooter: review

Ava’s at the age now where some days she doesn’t want to go in the pushchair. So wants to walk but gets tired and bored quickly. It’s a right nightmare as we don’t have a double pushchair so it’s not like I can stick her in the pushchair if she changes her mind. So to help me with this she has recently been sent a the Xootz LED tri scooter from Skates.co.uk to try . I’m hoping it will make my life a bit easier for the days when she decides she is too much of a big girl to go in the pushchair . The lovely people over at…

My-picture – picture book review and Giveaway

Ava really loves looking at pictures of family and friends. She often sits with my phone and scrolls through the pictures talking about the people she can see. Or walks around our front room with one of our picture frames that has a picture from my brothers wedding in it. So when the people over at My-picture.co.uk asked if I would like to review one of their products. I knew straight away that I would love to review one of their My photo books. I remember as a child looking through photo albums of past holidays and memories. It made me think we very rarely print pictures off like this…

The original cuddledry hands free baby towel: review

Bath time in our house ends up with more water on the floor and myself than is left in the bath. This is mainly because Ava loves to splash . When I say splash I mean lob water around the bathroom. Poor Alby doesn’t really get much of a relaxing bath time with Ava around. Cuddledry have recently sent me one of their bath towels to try . So I’m hoping it will help keep me a little bit drier during bath time. What is the original Cuddledry baby bath towel Basically the Cuddledry bath towel is a towel that parents can wear. Stopping them getting soaking wet when getting…

Keeping the costs down when having children

*This is a collaborative post* I have noticed more since having two children that it can be so expensive . They are always needing something be it shoes for Ava or new clothes for the both of them.  That’s not even taking into the account the amount of food and milk we get through I have tried to be a little bit more savvy with my money since Alby came along . I still want them to have what ever it is they need but I am finding other ways to get them at a discount price . So I thought I would share with you some of the ways…

Welcome to our next Bostik bloggers post. If this is the first time you have seen our Bostik crafts post why not take a look at what we did last month. Each month we are given a theme to which to create a craft around this months theme is animals. Our super simple snake crafts have been inspired by two things this month. The first being a snake we have seen recently whilst going around the “free zoo” at the garden centre. Ava was amazed by this snake and since then she has really started to take an interest in them. The second inspiration was from Ava’s two year check.…

Asthma it’s one of those things unless you know someone who suffers with it you don’t understand it . I say fairly often yes I had asthma as a child. The truth is I cannot really remember what it was like. I was hospitalised with it when I was younger . So it must have been pretty bad.The thing is you never stop having Asthma you just learn how to deal with it and know when an attack may happen. I do find that when I’m poorly with a cold or something similar. My chest becomes tight and I have had to have an inhaler in the past due to…
