Moccstars baby and toddler shoes : review

You can never have too many shoes right ! Both me and Jordan love shoes we have a pair for literally every occasion. This is now something we are passing onto Ava , which I’m sure is something we will regret when she wants expensive shoes . As soon as someone takes their shoes off Ava is trying to put them on . So beware if you take your shoes off in our house they may go for a walk  ! So when I was asked if we would like to review a pair of Moccstars for Ava of course the answer was yes please !! There are so many…

Peter rabbit hop with me: review

I have such fond memories of Peter rabbit from when I was a child. I remember my parents reading me stories from the Beatrix potter range before bedtime . So when I was offered the opportunity to review the Peter rabbit Hop with me plush I was so excited. Especially as we had not long ago found out that Peter Rabbit and his friends have a Telly programme which Ava loves . To which I already I know all the words to the intro song ! As soon as our Peter Rabbit arrived Ava was so excited, that excited she pulled open the packaging before I even had a chance…

Revamping our garden with help from Ronseal. #RonsealTheWeekend

Our garden has been looking worn for quite a while now. It’s not because we haven’t tried to make it look nice . It’s mainly because the ground is rubbish .Grass seeds don’t really take and then we have a dog who likes to kick it up. A couple of months ago Ronseal contacted me about taking part in their Get on with it #RonsealTheWeekend campaign. This really gave us  the kick up the bum we needed to start sorting it out. First of all we needed to sort the top of the garden out where we had already made an attempt to make it look better. We did this part…

    Pacif-i review a dummy and a thermometer

You have more than likely seen before that Ava has a dummy . She isn’t really that bothered by it unless she is poorly . Then when she is poorly she doesn’t want to let it go. So having a dummy that also monitors her temperature if fantastic for us. Several months ago now the lovely people over at Pacif-i sent me one of their dummies to review . The first one they sent did play up but they replaced it really quickly and without any questions. The dummy doesn’t work alone you connect it to an app on your phone . Where you can make a profile for your…

Maverick Arts Publishing: The Snugglewump and Wishkers : review

We’re back again with two more Maverick Arts Publishing books to review for you . These are The Snugglewump written by Lou Treleaven and Wishker by Heather Pindar and Sarah Jennings. The Snugglewump This is such a cute little story about a child’s comfort blanket that she calls her Snugglewump. The Snugglewump gets all sad and thinks it’s a waste of space . As it has no arms or legs and not fun for its human to play with. But the truth is the little girl loves her Snugglewump and cuddles it very tight. I love the fact that the story rhymes as it makes it flow really easy .…

Baby Nails taking the stress out of clipping your little ones nails

One of the things I hate doing the most is cutting Ava’s nails . It takes me forever I have tried everything to keep her still and now she is 18 months old it’s getting harder and harder . I spend forever lining the nail clipper up so I don’t chop her toe or finger off . Then she moves before I get to cut it. Thankfully someone has come up with an alternative. One that doesn’t take you for ever to do and also one that doesn’t require you to pin your little one down to do it . This product is called Baby nails. The pack I received…

The multi use of a Terrapin wallet phone case :review

It’s happening I’m turning into a mom . Where practicality of something comes above anything . The amount of times I pop into a shop and think it’s fine I won’t need the pushchair Ava can walk. Then 5 minutes in she is hanging off me wanting to be picked up . So I have to balance her my shopping and my purse . In a way which really doesn’t look attractive I’m sure. I am normally that mom who ends up scattering the content of her purse over the floor . You have all seen that mom embarrassed as hell picking up her pennies . Yes that’s me !…

Treat the dog in your life with a Tasty Bone. Tasty Bone review

Recently I have been such a bad dog owner. To be honest I have started to feel a little guilty. Not because we don’t walk her or tend to her needs as I’m not a horrid person just I cannot remember the last time I got her a treat. Before Ava came along Kya was like my baby.I would by her something to play with or a bone most weeks. Even if I did spend a decent amount of money on for it to be in shreds five minutes after giving it to her. Kya is a dog that loves toys .90% of the time she is playing with something or chewing on a bone.…

Blade and Rose rainbow top and leggings :review

Recently I was approached to see if I would like to review Blade and Rose rainbow top and leggings set  . I was instantly drawn in by the colourful design and the detailing on the bottom part of the leggings.Ava’s one for exploring her environment. It normally ends up with her tights falling down and showing her nappy to everyone. Not the look we were going for when I got her dressed in the morning. So we put our new Blade and Rose rainbow  set to the test .Seeing how it would Fair whilst having fun in the garden. Ava looked really cute and comfortable and was able to run…

How do you do Mr Gnu? and Fum : book review

Maverick Arts publishing have done it again . They are soon to release two new fantastic titles. How do you do Mr Gnu? And Fum. Me and Ava have been lucky to have been sent these two titles before they are published on the 28th March. How do you do Mr Gnu ? By Billy Coughlan and Maddie Frost Now this is Ava’s favourite story out of the two. It has a comedic factor to it. Mr Gnu is invited to see the Queen . Mr Gnu doesn’t have the best manners so he goes around town learning manners of other animals and a baby. Although he does get a little confused…

chemical free baby wipes with water wipes: review

Off and on since Ava was little she has had nappy rash. Most recently she had a bad case of thrush and every time I wiped her with her normal wipes she would wince in pain. So I changed what I was doing and started to use water and cotton wool . This can be such a faff, especially if your out and about. This is when I started looking for an alternative and came across Water Wipes. These wipes were a game changer and now the lovely people over at Water Wipes have sent me some to review on my blog. This wasn’t the first time I had used Water…

Being a blogger I spend a lot of my day on my phone . My phone is the main thing I use for my blogging . From writing blog posts to updating my social media . So when I was contacted by Phinexi to review their Charing case I was hoping it would help…

BIBaDO a bib that really does DO what it’s meant to : review

Mealtimes are the main reason why my washing basket is never empty . That’s because Ava ends up with half her food on her lap. We have chosen to do baby led weaning meaning it can be really messy. So when I was recently approached by the lovely people over at BIBaDO to review their mealtime bib I was curious to if it would make meal time less messy . As one of their claims is that they promise that the BIBaDO will do its best to catch the mealtime mess. The other night we had a meal of chicken and rice which is normally a nightmare to clean up .…

I’m a young mom not a frumpy mom , trying to find clothes that fit.

Since having Ava I find it really hard to find clothes that both fit and that I like . Without knowing my wardrobe has turned into a really mommy wardrobe . Everything is practical and easy to wash and really doesn’t do a lot for my figure . I very rarely go shopping now for clothes as I find the experience horrid . Battling through isles of clothes with a pushchair is not fun at all . They really need to look at the design of clothes shops . Also nothing fits this new mommy body of mine . It wasn’t until I was asked to go out the other…

Trying to make my lunch healthier with Grabits

In just over two weeks I will be returning to work after over a year off on maternity leave . Where that time has gone I don’t know . In order to save some money and also be healthier I have been on the look out for things to take to work with me for lunch  . Recently the lovely people over at Grabits offered me some of their chicken snacks to try . Before I left for maternity I was always rubbish with my lunch . I would normally forget to sort anything out and grab quick and unhealthy options out of the cupboards at home . Or spend…
