Adding some colour to your garden during the winter months

We have recently put our house up for sale. So we did a few jobs in the house that needed doing to make it look more appealing to potential buyers. This didn’t really consist of much a lick of paint here and there. After doing the inside of the house we looked at the garden and thought it really wasn’t up to scratch. We haven’t really done much to our garden whilst we have lived here. What plants we did plant in the summer are now dead and don’t add anything to the garden. Thankfully I came across this handy little guide from Sloane & Sons which highlighted easy ways…

    Bubble wrap painting

We quite often get things packaged in bubble wrap and 9/10 I put it in the recycling bin straight away. Today though I thought let’s do something fun with it even if I recycle it afterwards at least its been used a few times. So today we did some bubble wrap painting. It’s really easy to ddo and takes minutes to prepare. What you will need Bubble wrap, paper, paint, rolling-pin, toilet roll inside, hair bands or elastic bands. ( sorry about the hair on the bobble !!) Wrap both the rolling-pin and the end of the toilet roll in bubble wrap and secure with a hair bobble or elastic…

BabyBjörn toilet training seat : review

For the last 6 months now Ava has been showing interest in potty training on and off. She will happily sit on the potty but wasn’t too keen on the toilet . Then recently she started to want to go on the toilet but I feared she would fall in and this would totally put her off . Thankfully we have been sent the BabyBjörn toilet training seat to review. The BabyBjörn toilet training seat is really lightweight meaning that Ava can put it on . And take it back off by herself with ease. The toilet seat itself is made from BPA free Plastic, that is easily cleaned. The…

Make your kitchen fit for the whole family

This is a collaborative post For some, the kitchen is the heart of the home where all the family gathers to be together and enjoy family time. As family spaces change, and we embrace open-plan living, we are tending to spend more time together in one room, and that room is often a multi-purpose kitchen/dining/living room, often with access straight on to the garden. But with little ones running around and playing, how can you make your kitchen, child friendly? Child-safety Whilst you are preparing dinner, you’ll want to keep a watchful eye on the kids whilst keeping the other on your cooking. An island, table or breakfast bar in…

What colour shirts do women prefer?

This is a collaborative post When choosing a shirt to impress, a few questions might cross a man’s mind: does it match with the trousers? Is the material of a good quality? Is it suitable for the dress code? Something that men should also be asking is – what does this colour shirt say about me? Boy maternity leave is so different the second time around

    When I was on maternity leave with Ava looking back now it was so easy. I had one child to sort. Once she was happy and content I could do what I needed to do. My ironing was done as I used to do it when she was asleep.The house was tidy and I even may have had a cheeky little nap. This time around it’s not like that at all .I’m ;

    BabyBjörn baby carrier one review

When I was pregnant with my second I didn’t really think about the practicalities of going places with two children. Ava is only just two so she does like to walk places but gets tired very quickly. It wasn’t until Alby was here and I thought about taking the two of them out that I thought how the hell am I going to do this. ? Thankfully I have recently been sent the BabyBjörn baby carrier one to review. I think one of the most important things with a carrier is how comfy is it.  I have had many different carriers with Ava and to be honest I found none…

Cute Nico changing backpack : review

I had completely forgotten how much you have to carry around with you when you have a baby . I know I’m an over packer but gosh don’t babies need a lot of stuff . My old changing bag was full even before adding Alby’s stuff in . Thankfully the lovely people over at Cute Nico have sent me their Cute Nico changing backpack to try. One reason why I haven’t had a new changing bag for Alby is because I found all the bags to be pretty girly . Yes I’m a woman carrying it around but I didn’t want it to be overly girly . I was looking…

Today she turns two where has the time gone !

I cannot believe it but today Ava will turn 2 . How did that happen ? I’m sure she was only a baby yesterday. It really is crazy how quick it goes. I’m not sure I’m ready for her to grow up just yet . I want to hold her close and not let her go . I know she’s not going anywhere as she is only two but it really gets me thinking about the future . Like what school she will be going to and what clubs she might want to join. It really makes me sad that my little girl is not so little anymore . You…

How did i do with my blogging 2017 goals and goals for the year ahead

When I look back on my goals for 2017 I think I was being a little optimistic , I don’t think I took into account that I was returning to work. which meant I would have less time to post to my blog and social media channels. I definitely didn’t expect to be pregnant again and I had times in my pregnancy. Especially the early days where the thought of getting on the laptop and writing a blog post was just too much to contend with. Although I didn’t reach a lot of my goals I am happy with where my blog is at. Yes it may not be the…

Knuma Huddle making those early baby days easier

You may have seen a few months ago we did a first impressions post for the Knuma Huddle. We have now been using our Huddle for nearly a month and I’m so in love with it. You may have seen that I had to have an emergency section again . So moving around was pretty painful in the early days. This meant bending over was pretty painful so thank god I didn’t have a Moses basket. The Huddle made those night feeds so much easier. I could simply unzip the side and Alby was within reach . No bending involved. We have also found unlike Ava , Alby likes to…

    My blogging journey through 2017

This is the first full year that I have been blogging and boy it’s been an interesting one. I have learnt so much more and worked with some amazing brands. I think one of the biggest things I have learnt is not to compare yourself to anyone else. Being apart of blogging Facebook groups has both its benefits and its draw backs. I am apart of one specific group who I can go to for support with anything blogging related or even just to have a moan about things that are going on . This is the group I love and can be me in. But then there are groups…
